Tasks and responsibilities:

-        Advising Tender Managers, Commercial Managers (during preferred contractor phase) and  

-        Advising Project Managers and Package Managers (during execution phase) on content and interpretation of Main Contract(s), both during final negotiations and thereafter.

-        Drafting notices of claim, variation proposals/requests, letters, etc.

-        co-drafting monthly reports and minutes of meeting

-        Supporting/advising in Procurement process from legal/contracting perspective, to align with Main Contract and to ensure sound legal/contractual drafting of sub-, supply-, services- and other contracts

-        Liaising with internal legal, insurance, procurement, estimating, finance, QSHE departments

Job requirements:

  • A minimum of  5 years’ experience, preferably a bit more, as a Contract Manager, tender manager or Legal Counsel in the offshore renewable industry.
  • Knowledge of/experience with international construction contracts (FIDIC YB / Logic / NEC) and or BIMCO charter parties
  • Logical thinker, diligent (hard) worker, as a team member yet self-starter.
  • Generally good humoured; taking initiative, solution oriented but with eye for the long term interest of project and company.
  • Bachelor or Master degree in law (either civil law jurisdiction or case law jurisdiction) and/or BSc Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering with proven legal (construction or maritime contract) knowledge/experience
  • An independent and proactive person with a strong commercial affinity and proven negotiation successes 
  • The ability to advise effectively always keeping in mind at the audience/reader/listener in play
  • Enthusiasm to be part of the world's energy change as a member of the Contractor community and project team.
