My client who are a renowned global Pumps manufacturer are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team either in Glasgow or Aberdeen. The Contracts Manager with report directly into the Head of Contracts and Tendering
Responsibilities:

  • Help to ensure best-practice in all activities & ensure compliance with business processes and objectives
  • Provide customer-focused service in a safe, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure technical and commercial conditions of contracts are known, successfully managed and fully adhered to
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships and regular communication with clients
  • Proactively identify and develop additional business from existing customers
  • Work closely with other areas of the business to deliver contract requirements
  • Develop/produce client reports in a timely manner as required
  • Manage order input, invoicing, job cost interrogation, PO requests, despatch notes/certificates of conformity etc.
  • Keep all financial reports up to date
  • Take part in contract reviews with clients on an annual and quarterly basis
  • Help to train team members and create/maintain training & competency matrices and carry out performance reviews of team members
  • Allocate work to team members so that tasks are completed in a timely manager
  • Provide proactive and hands-on management
  • Motivate and strengthen the team and promote a culture of inter-departmental/divisional team-working and collaboration
  • Drive On-Time-Delivery performance, manage, monitor & report contract-defined KPIs
  • Expedite potential orders to maximise financial performance
  • Make sure that all aspects of the contract are complied with
  • Maintain relationships with Clients, including dealing with complaints/NCRS
  • Support audits including up-front preparation



Essential Requirements:

  • Strong Mechanical Engineering background with a relevant higher education qualification
  • Commercial management experience with a relevant industry network.
  • Engineering Project Management Experience
  • Experience of working with a product line in rotating equipment, preferably pumps
