Title: Controls Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
Department: Engineering and Maintenance
Scope of the Position: To provide the Electrical and Electronic support to plant Engineering and Maintenance Department in every day maintenance, Preventive Maintenance and Capital Projects
Responsibility and Authority:

  • Ensure Company's EHS standards are respected at any time
  • Analyze and correct electrical and instrumentation problems
  • Repair and overhaul electrical equipment and controls
  • Subject Matter Expert for Electrical and Electrical & Instrumental Engineering on maintenance, reliability and capital projects
  • Support the Site Maintenance Manager in organizing the day-by-day activities on reactive and preventive maintenance
  • Accountable to organize the Electrical and instrumental activities on site capital projects
  • Accountable for the identification and execution of improvement plans for the Site Electrical Equipment
  • Accountable for the Site Electrical Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the Site Electrical body of procedures and documentation
  • Support and coordination in the calibration and certification of the 'Critical to Quality' instrumentation of the site
  • Provide direct support to the Maintenance team in field activities whenever needed
  • Reports directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager
  • Has no direct reports

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Electrical equipment, Medium and low voltage
  • Familiar with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and State adopted electrical codes.
  • Knowledge of DCS and/or automation systems


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial environment, project and field activities
  • Experience in chemical plants with high level of automation, including DCS systems is desired


  • MSc or BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Technology or similar is desired
  • Hands-on Instrumentation specific courses will be taken into consideration
