The Controls Engineer will be responsible to apply engineering principles independently to all aspects of design, programming, and troubleshooting of automated industrial control systems.

Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing renewables team based in the Northeast. They are actively seeking out a PV engineering expert to take a lead role in the development of their projects and products. Responsibilities: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for PV SCADA Control development, commissioning, and testing. Ensure compliance with relevant NERC Standards for PV SCADA and SCADA Control Execution. Lead application design for renewable generation control systems Provide technical support across departments for new project pursuits and product development. Mentor junior engineers in renewable control system application design and commissioning. Prepare and maintain engineering plans and schedules. Identify opportunities for product and process improvements. Foster and maintain strong customer relationships. Monitor project financial performance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. 9+ years of experience in power generation control system applications. Expertise in renewable energy systems, power conversion, energy storage, PV, or power systems control. Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically. Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. experience in PV SCADA controls development and testing. Strong understanding of renewable resource operations and NERC Standards.

This is the expert level of the Project Controls classification hierarchy. Workers at this level lead the development of the reporting systems for project controls assignments. They perform complex aspects of individual scheduling, change documentation and cost control while reporting up to program or portfolio level as well as trains and teaches other members of PC organization with minimal oversight and wide latitude for unreviewed work. They are also expected to have advanced skills using primavera (p6) and have the ability to work independently. This position typically is assigned to high volume of White projects classified per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix which typically range from $100M to greater than $500M with a high level of complexity. Must have experience leading schedule review meetings and work with the project team to obtain information to build / update the project schedule. The Principal Project Controls Specialist may have relationships with individuals of varying levels in various organizations. Project teams of external Suppliers/Vendors.Required Qualifications:- Graduation from a four-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.- Minimum of 7 years of project controls scheduling experience using primavera (P6).- Minimum of 11 years of project controls scheduling experience using primavera (P6) in lieu of a degree.- Expert in project controls principles.- Expertise / Mastery with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications / analytics; employee development; strong collaborative team member; oversight.Preferred Qualifications:- Masters - business, finance, project management, or equivalent.
