Electric Rotating Machinery - Motors and Generators

Company Overview

I am currently representing a market leading manufacturer of electric rotating machinery (Generators and Motors) with ambitious plans to grow their business throughout the APAC region over the next few years.

One of their higher priority openings at this time is to bring on board a Country Manager to drive forward the company's presence in the Korean market.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, this person will be tasked in formulating and executing a business development strategy that opens up new sales opportunities, whilst also maximizing existing client relationships.

Candidates should be forward thinking, ambitious and able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities with a pro-active attitude towards business growth. Furthermore, any candidates selected for interview should be prepared to present a clear business plan to the Senior Management regarding how they would approach the role.

Job Description

Some of the responsibilities involved in this position include but are not limited to:
*Develop and present sales strategy to Senior Management and oversee it's execution
*Manage existing customer requirements and work to expand key-client base through maximising repeat business
*Identify and execute upon new business opportunities on a continuous basis - continuously driving growth
*Be able to provide technical input into customer queries and act as the key point of contact throughout entire sales process
*Develop accurate sales reports/forecasts that can identify market trends and allow for effective growth planning
*Assist in implementation of company marketing strategy and work to further brand awareness throughout the region

Experience and Skills Required
*At least 5 years industry relevant sales experience within the Korean market
*Fluency in Korean is essential
*Prior sales/business development experience with major manufacturer/distributor of electric rotating equipment is key (generators being a particular advantage)
*Able to think and act independently and execute role responsibilities in an autonomous manner
*Flexible to travel frequently (Nationally and Internationally)
*Pro-active, entrepreneurial attitude toward work
*Electrical engineering background considered advantageous
*Pre-existing network within the power, marine or industrial sectors within the Korean market considered advantageous
