Our client has a very exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer in the Water sector. This is a fantasic position working for a global player. Based from home you will be covering the whole UK so flexibility is paramount.Job Overview:
Responsible for working independently or with project teams to develop and execute projects ranging from modification of existing processes to new construction of water/ wastewater treatment systems.
Responsible for developing total solution for process specification and design.
Responsible for determination of cost budgets and selection of project specific design components
Responsible for review and in depth understanding of technical project specifications
Performs review of existing conditions at customer locations (plant audits)
Supports commissioning activities and/or implementation of systems at customer locationsMain Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
Liaises with customers, sales reps in field, Project Developer, Corporate Account Manager, to qualify and manage from an Engineering perspective new business opportunities.
Coordinates and/or execute all SEQ related activities for Equipment projects.
Co-ordinates project related activities through suppliers, 3rd party Design, Build & Install partners), Equipment planners and Service Technicians.
Ensure compliance to all project related KPI's. Safety, quality, costs, network - reporting into the Engineering Manager.
Supports Technical Training of Sales staff on demand
Lead commissioning, start up and handover of projects, supervising Service Engineers and contractors as necessary.
Initiates/creates basic maintenance process needed to ensure proper functioning of project related equipment & installation (technical specifications)
Communicates effectively with all parties involved (Sales/Customer/Planners/Supervisors/ Technician/3rd parties)
Supports Sales initiatives on Initial Customer Satisfaction Feedback both during equipment projects and after completion (approved commissioning)
Support wider European Engineering Projects in areas of expertise.
Ensures all projects are completed to a high quality standard
Supports client during (well defined) after service
Assists during ISO auditsQualifications:
Proven experience linked to water processing is compulsory: total solution design
- Ion resin exchange/demin water/softeners
- Membranes technology: Ultra Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, Microfiltration
- Decantor, lamellar decantor, cold lime clarifier
- Miscellaneous water filtration technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Competency in chemical, mechanical, civil, and environmental engineering principles
Experience in mechanical, electrical and structural design
Experience working on engineered system projects specific to water/wastewater industry
3 years applicable and relevant work experience in an appropriate Process Engineering and ideally either Project Management Function.
Proven organizational and computer skills
