Position: Development Role, Manager / Senior Manager

Position Description

Our client provides our customers with reliable, low cost renewable products across the United States. This role is focused on the initiation of new renewable development projects, the advancement of existing pipeline development projects, and the management and completion of contracted projects. You will be an active part of the team and will be engaged with various external stakeholders involved in local communities and regulatory bodies as well as internal subject matter experts in the advancement of renewable projects.

Overview

Team members in development roles are responsible for leading and executing plans with the object of completing new generation and storage projects. Key to this role is managing the project to achieve the lowest risk path to completion while also managing costs. In this role, you will manage all dimensions of the project and related business transactions.

Specific Day-to-Day Activities

  • · Assist in identification of new development projects
  • · Engages with prospective and current land owners for projects (both identification and negotiation for land agreements for projects and easements)
  • · Engages with transmission operators and manages and monitors and advances interconnection evaluations and agreements
  • · Works with local and state governments and external experts related to permitting efforts
  • · Finds the most cost effective solutions to project challenges
  • · Coordinates issues among various subject matter experts (such as financial, procurement, engineering, permitting, legal)
  • · Assists in evaluation of risk items for any project M&A
  • · Engages and assists in power purchase agreement negotations
  • · Acts as the intermediary between external agents and internal subject matter experts
  • · Performs other activities as needed for the role

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

Preferred (but not required) Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in renewable development preferred; 5+ years work experience
  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree
