Our Client, a leading Solar Project Operator within the French Renewable Market are searching for a Development Director to lead all development strategy and responsibilities. Based in the south of France and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you manage the activity in France for the acquisition and development of photovoltaic power plants on the ground.

Responsibilities include:

  • You manage and implement the development strategy for France following the management review. You implement the ad hoc action plan arising from the set objectives.
  • You are in charge of managing the teams of the solar segment on the technical, environmental, urban, legal, regulatory, administrative and financial aspects of the projects entrusted to you. These teams are spread over several locations in France.
  • You are responsible to support the Project Managers during discussions with the State services and elected officials if necessary.
  • You follow the evolution of the market and the regulations in consultation with the management and the Project Managers.
  • You ensure the implementation of processes and action plans within your business segment.


  • Management and development of solar projects, from existing projects as well as projects to initiate, in collaboration with the other activities of the Group.
  • Manage and develop Acquisition / Development and support teams.
  • Implementation and support of local partnerships.
  • Follow-up documentation from the prospecting phase then the studies, through the obtaining of the building permits, the participation to the calls for tenders and up to the beginning of construction phase.
  • Development of network and communication with local stakeholders, elected officials from all levels concerned, local associations, professional unions, state services, industry and service providers.


  • Bac +5 training in engineering / environment / spatial planning, preferably with a specialization in ENR.
  • Experience of 6-10 years in the development of solar and / or wind projects.
  • English fluent essential.
