My client, an innovative and growing renewable energy developer, is offering an exciting role to a development manager who can help continue their growth.
What is the role and what are its responsibilities?
As a Development manager, you will be expected to:
*Project management of solar farm developments in various international markets and energy storage projects in the UK;
*Documenting development processes in new markets and reviewing risks and opportunities;
*Coordination of internal development from initial site identification to disposal of completed projects;
*Management of external environmental and other consultants;
*Management of the scope, specification, time, cost, quality, risks and resources aspects of projects, including:
oAssess the feasibility of new projects and recommend how they are progressed;
oProvide input to technical drawings to optimise the site layout and access;
oAssist with land option and lease negotiations;
oManage the project through the planning determination process including engagement with key stakeholders;
oManage the commercial aspects to ensure that the financial objectives of the project are achieved in a changing regulatory regime;
oDevelop project budgets; and
oMonitor and review the status of the project, identify issues and develop solutions to mitigate such issues.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
*Batchelor's or master's degree required. Further qualifications are desirable but not essential.
*Experience of working within a similar development or planning role in the clean energy sector.
*Knowledge and understanding of planning and environmental legislation is preferred.
*Commercial awareness and acumen.
*Knowledge of the energy sector.
*Ability to use and navigate around various computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and ideally Google Earth.
