Our client, an environmental engineering firm, serving the nations public and private clients, is seeking a Director of Stormwater Management in Northern California to run their Western division practice. With recently implemented regulations in the state of California, our client is seeking a Director of Stormwater Management to develop business within the industries that are currently not compliant with state mandates. This is a huge opportunity! With various offices across California this person can be based anywhere in the state. However, for those in Southern California there will be travel to northern offices as that's where most projects are currently taking place.
Reporting into the Vice President, this person will be responsible for the following:
*Designing, implementing and monitoring projects that will include treatment and collection system evaluations for industrial facilities, construction sites and municipalities
*Responsible for designing and evaluating stormwater runoff BMP's and treatment systems
*Developing recommended retrofits
*Designing facilities to correct deficiencies
*Perform design and implementation of regional sotrmwater monitoring programs
*Overseeing project managers and staff responsible for developing proposals
*Project budgeting and writing reports
*Quality of deliverables
*Develop marketing strategies for water resource services and new business development
*Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related scientific degree
*California Registered PE required
*QISP and QSD
*At least 6 years of consulting engineering experience in stormwater treatment or collection system evaluations and design
*5 years of project management experience or other supervisory role
*Proven success in business development
