Responsibilities
We are seeking a range of experienced individuals with expertise in electrical utility design to support our
growing T&D electrical design group full-time. The ideal individuals will have a minimum of 2 years of
experience and up to 30+ years in the design of electric distribution and transmission projects in both
overhead and underground configurations. Prior experience working with San Diego Gas & Electric or
other utility companies on design and construction is preferred. The individual must have reasonable
computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications
This individual's background should consist of electrical design, an emphasis planning with SDG&E or
other comparable experience is preferred. Utility or contractor experience, Associates degree or Trade
School certification in engineering, drafting, or electrical design is preferred. A background as a
journeyman lineman or cable splicer is a plus.
Requirements
Individuals should have a working knowledge of electric utility safe work practices and be willing to
work in and around underground electrical vaults (with a utility-authorized Qualified Electrical Worker).
Due to this specific project with SDG&E, these individuals must be physically able to access pole sites,
some of them remote. Also, willing to work in high vehicle traffic areas at times, in various locations
throughout San Diego County and elsewhere at times as required.
