District sales Manager (Completions Background)

An exciting opportunity for District Sales Manager to join a fast growing global Oil and Gas businees. My client is looking for a hard working and dynamic individual to join there new office in the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi and help grow the business and break into newmarkets.

The District Manager UAE reports to COO. The DM UAE is the Manager of all Company's business within the specific region and is responsible for sales, operations, clients and the overall Company's results in that region. Plan, organize and direct the sales and service organization to provide a superior service to our clients by effectively and efficiently managing all aspects of the business.

Tasks

  • Responsible for the overall financial management of all assets, balance sheet and profit and loss of the Company's Segment in the region.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and provides feedback to COO & the executive management team.
  • Overall responsibility for Business Development and sales over the short and long term.
  • Establish detailed Strategies for the Products and Product lines, implementing the strategy along with continuous updates of the strategy on a regular basis

Financial

  • In conjunction with the COO sets financial goals and monitors financial performance against those goals.
  • Exercise cost control procedures, follow up and adhere to approved accounting practices.
  • Implement and oversee plan to ensure DSO targets are met for the region.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and provides feedback to COO & the executive management team.
  • Oversight of Company's region budget for sales, operations and support services.
  • Evaluates trade-off between short and long term goals to ensure meeting short term objectives while positioning the region for future and sustainable growth.

Personnel

  • Responsible for the Human Resources planning, recruiting, staffing, training and career development in conjunction with management team and Business Segment Personnel and in line with the Business Plan.
  • Responsible for personnel in the Product lines including identifying the need, recruiting, hiring, training and coaching the employee, including periodic performance evaluations.
  • Coach and monitor performance of direct reports providing feedback on opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitors and track staffing, recruitment and development of all personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring a succession plan is in place for the region.

Marketing and Sales

  • Develops region strategic plan in conjunction with COO, Product line VP's, BD team and Sales teams.
  • Efficient account management and good contacts with all Customers.
  • Develops and maintains a key network with clients in the region.
  • Identify potential acquisition targets that would be strategic or accretive fits for the Company.
  • Tracks competitors and market indicators. Provides leadership and guidance on major bids and pricing initiatives within the region.
  • Optimizes pricing at the regional level to generate maximum profit.
  • Set overall direction on Sales initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities.

Asset Management

  • Responsible for the management of all Company's assets within the region.
  • Creates build plans & forecast for product lines to ensure Supply Chain & Manufacturing has a clear understanding of the GM's needs and timing.
  • Improves equipment productivity through optimization of assets.

Requirements for competences

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in increasingly responsible management positions where excellent contract performance and employee management skills have been emphasized.
  • Fundamental understanding of the product lines and/or service systems offered by the Company.
  • Understanding of customer requirements and market conditions in the region.
  • Extensive knowledge of business practices including financial & strategic planning, budgeting and staffing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to lead and focus a diverse employee team at all levels.
  • Ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff and partners.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Solid understanding of inventory and asset management with a keen focus on asset velocity.
  • Must have strong administrative, management and personnel skills.
