We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Document Control Specialist to join our growing upstream E&P organization. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of document management methodologies and procedures. You must be experienced in software applications used for managing documentation and records. The position is based in Houston, TX. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Company's Document Management methodologies, policies and procedures
  • Development, implement and manage Document Control specifications
  • Maintain document storage databases
  • Distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that out of date documentation is removed from distribution
  • Collaborate with other departments to file documents in the Document Management system
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure company Document Management requirements are followed
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure incoming documentation is compliant with company standards and Document Management requirements are met
  • Track contractor and vendor deliverables and ensure standards are met
  • Train staff on the Document Management process and use of the document management system
  • Provide document control support to other functions

Qualifications & Experience

  • College Degree preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in Document Management, including experience in records management compliance
  • In-depth understanding of Document Management strategies, policies and procedures
  • Upstream Oil & Gas experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization
  • Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions
