*Take responsibility for all company economic models of existing assets. Make new ones where necessary, modify, update and correct all existing ones as required. These include models used to evaluate individual projects on an incremental NPV basis as well as more general models of company cash flow.
*Performing risk based economic evaluations to evaluate the feasibility of projects and facilitate the investment decision-making process, identifying business value drivers. Provide economic modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis in order to fully understand and implement value drivers that could significantly enhance project returns.
*Provide economic advice and support for negotiations for new ventures or new fiscal terms, and to undertake value based analysis to support commercial decision making.
*Perform annual Business Plan and quarterly forecasting, liaising with Asset Finance Managers to source economic model inputs and to ensure Asset signoff of the forecast.
Desired Skills and Experience
*A minimum of 5 years working as a Senior Petroleum Economist/Economics Manager, within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with an Operating Company
*A minimum of 10 years working as a Petroleum Economist, within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with an Operating Company
*Excellent working knowledge of oil and gas fiscal contracts and partnership terms, in particular PSC contracts and able to demonstrate applying different fiscal terms available in other parts of the world
*Broad understanding of company accounts, local and international tax issues, and be able to apply these to the economic models to develop Net Income & Balance Sheet
*The ability to construct new economic models using EXCEL with the ability to programme in EXCEL including macros using Visual Basic
*Familiarity with field development planning and petroleum engineering issues
*Strong analytical and numerical/computer modelling skills
*In depth knowledge and experience of financial modelling
