Key Duties and Responsibilities:
*Build a competent team to complete the scheduled works within budget while respecting the clients values
*Evaluate and mentor current team and liaise with HR Manager to ensure any issues are dealt with in an efficient manner
*Liaise with the project team to schedule execution of projects with customers and contractors to ensure project timelines are achieved and customer expectations met.
*Reporting of commissioning non-conformances and providing solutions to remediate issues
*Support engineering requirements through managing and liaising with subcontractors and on site labour
*Carry out pre-commissioning and test procedures when applicable and supervise field installation
*Communicate regularly with project team and report all variations for prior approval
*Prepare method statements and organize and plan oneself for site
*Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance delivery time of the project
*Ensure all documentation and certification is completed in a timely fashion and checked prior to final handover
*Adherence to company EHS and Quality Policies and procedures

Personal Attributes
*Strong problem solving skills in a pressurized situation
*A working knowledge and/or good awareness of IEC standards, Engineering Recommendations and other international standards
*Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
*Results orientated and first class organizational skills
*Excellent customer and commercial focus with cost sensitivity

*Electrical Trade background and/or third level qualification desirable
*Understanding of project specifications, drawings, SLDs, cable solutions and data sheets
*Ability to work on own initiative with excellent communication skills while working with customers, engineering & internal staff
*In depth knowledge of LV/MV Electrical systems and control wiring and associated protection systems
*Knowledge and experience of electrical safety rules and procedure
*Ability to pre-commission medium voltage switchgear and follow drawings and station plant
*Conceptual understanding of the design and operating mechanism of power plant i.e. power transformers, CTs, VTs, circuit breakers
*Knowledge of functional testing and the ability to develop a commissioning plan.
*Ability to switch and operate safely medium voltage and low voltage circuits and issue permits to work identifying isolation points and location of earths.
*Organize workload and ensure that workload is managed in an efficient way to both the companies and customers' expectations
*Highly Flexible/Adaptable day to day activities and hours/ work locations
*Ability to motivate and challenge poor performance within team
