Summary:

Spencer Ogden is seeking a skilled electrical commissioning engineer to work on a wide variety of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

*Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, scheduling plans and specifications.
*Ability to evaluate fundamental engineering guidelines, code compliance requirements and industry standards.
*Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
*Good working knowledge of general building construction including engineered systems is essential.
*Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
*Work well with others and be part of a project team.
*Attend meetings with Project Managers, architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects.
*Assist in the preparation of commissioning specifications and basis of design documents.
*Assist during design and submittal reviews.
*Assist the functional testing and verification of equipment and systems in the field.
*Assist in developing proposals and responses to RFPs on commissioning projects.
*Assist in the documentation processes and assist in the development of procedures related to commissioning activities.
*Travel out of state periodically will be required.
*Project management, ability to meet deliverable timeline, customer expectations and project fiscal requirements.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess 7+ years' experience with a consulting engineering firm, contractor, or a commissioning firm. A Professional Engineering (PE) degree or on the path to a PE is a plus. Experience or familiarity with electrical testing, electrical testing equipment and electrical commissioning requirements are expected. The candidate will have a thorough understanding and knowledge of electrical systems, electrical engineering industry; possess strong oral and written communication skills and can work with computer based tools for execution and management of commission and construction activities. Experience with sustainable design practices or facilities operations is also a plus. Candidate must possess understanding of MEP building systems while specializing in Electrical systems.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited construction or engineering program
