Electrical Design Engineer to join an established team at our Head Office location. This is an exciting time to join one of the UK's leading multi utility company's on the increasing number of design projects in the new housing and commercial market sectors across Scotland. The design teams are critical to the development of the business both in terms of designing electricity utility networks for new projects and in developing strong relationships with our customers.

Managing the design through its project lifecycle, to the highest quality and standards.
Liaising with relevant DNO's to agree POC's and the granting of Design Approval.
Working closely with our Business Development Managers to compile project bids.
Working closely with our Project Managers to project completion.
Proactively taking and promoting our offer for utility infrastructure services to our customers.
Conducting site visits and meeting with customers.
Working effectively within an established team and understanding how to manage customer expectations at all levels.
Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering.
iEng. status.
Relevant design and costing experience in the utility sector.
Knowledge of the CDM Regulations; N.R.S.W.A; ENA Technical Standards; Electricity Act; Electricity at Work Act; ERG 88; DUCUSA and other technical and regulatory instruments.
Knowledge of electricity distribution networks including the impact of small scale embedded generation e.g. PV and energy efficient technologies e.g. heat pumps, on traditional distribution network designs.
Organisational skills to manage several projects at the same time.
Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
