Electrical Engineering Project Manager Job Spec

Engineering Project manager for a developer and owner of large scale flexible energy generation and storage assets in the UK market. A fast-growing company which has recently secured +£50m of institutional funding, is looking to appoint an Engineering Project Manager to execute on the roll out of its pipeline of assets. Responsibilities to include:

*To take on responsibility as Owner's Engineer at all stages of the development of the companies projects
*To manage the companies responsibilities under the CDM regulations
*To produce and coordinate Request for Quote and Request for Tender documentation.
*Oversee quotation and tender processes
*Undertake detailed Due Diligence on technical solution proposed by contractors
*To produce a detailed technical specification and acceptance & testing regime to be included in EPC contracts
*To manage contractual and operational interface between project stakeholders (including EPC, ICP, DNO, Gas Network Operator, Landowners)
*To oversee acceptance and testing processes at handover within contracts
*To continually evaluate new technologies entering the market as to their commercial viability for the company.

The existing team is entrepreneurial in nature and therefore any candidate should be comfortable with the dynamic but also offer a high attention to detail. Due to the size of the team the role will require multitasking and excellent interpersonal skills.

Candidate assessment criteria:

*10-plus years of experience in the UK electrical engineering and construction management sector
*must have direct experience of senior project management responsibilities on capital energy projects
*must have direct experience of producing detailed specifications/employer requirements within EPC contracts
*Understanding and interest in battery storage technologies is essential
*Ability to run the FD function within fast paced environment, ability to multitask is critical
*Undergraduate degree 2:1 minimum with professional qualifications such CEng considered preferable
*Deep knowledge of energy infrastructure sectors
*High attention to detail
*Superior interpersonal skills; solid, demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) as well as exceptional presentation and reporting skills
*Professionalism and integrity
*Flexibility, adaptability, initiative and creativity
*Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
*Team player who enjoys a high-performance culture
