Our client, a leading international Offshore Wind Consultancy, are searching for an Electrical Package Manager to join their Electrical Engineering team. In which you will manage the delivery of cabling and substation packages for their offshore wind projects. You would be expected to deliver the electrical aspects of the project from procurement right through to installation. You will directly report into the project director and project board.

The successful candidate should have 5 years' minimum experience in high level project appointments and possess an extensive electrical background. Project management qualifications would also strengthen the application further.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing substation and cable PMs to ensure best practice
  • Setting up procedures and interfaces to ensure efficient operations throughout the lifetime of the project
  • Detailed reports and meeting deliver to management concerning project progress and focusing on keeping with the project vision

The client is a major Offshore Consultancy, offering an exciting opportunity for progression to a Senior Project Manager to be part of a dynamic, growth orientated business within Offshore Wind, working on cutting edge Floating and Fixed projects!

Verify 3rd party EPC Contractors adhere to QA/QC plans. Work with in-house engineering to provide information and attend job walks to facilitate reports from 3rd party independent engineers. Collect 3rd party EPC deliverables and either upload them to an internal data room or send them to the appropriate team member for sign-off (e.g., test reports, progress reports, etc.). Review draft invoices with 3rd party EPC Contractor and sign off on work completed. First line of defense against proposed change orders; escalating to the internal Project Manager as necessary. Proactively communicate and manage an ongoing punch list with 3rd party EPC Contractor, managing the final punch list from Mechanical Completion to completion. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. 5 years of onsite utility-scale solar construction management. Advanced knowledge of solar construction management processes, means, and methods. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
