Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic and long-term planning for the assigned engineering departments and develop goals and objectives aligned with the client's strategy.
  • Lead the development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for new product innovation and/or development. Evaluate the progress of new product development (NPD) projects.
  • Authorize the spending of development initiatives to support the budget for assigned areas.
  • Work on complex issues that require in-depth knowledge of the company, leading the engineering team through technical problem-solving for new product innovation and/or development projects.
  • Regularly interact with executives and major customers.

They specalise in origination, development, construction, and performance optimization of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, PtX, and storage.Due to their growing portfolio of projects, they have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Technical Development Manager who will coordinate and lead the engineering of all aspects of allocated renewable energy projects, in conjunction with the Development / Project ManagerRole & Responsibilities Managing the development of and reviewing concept designs.Undertaking value engineering and business case optimisation.Completing due diligence activities on potential new development acquisitions.Site selection.Contract and specification negotiation.Distilling complex technical and project concepts into clear, concise summaries suitable for commercial stakeholders.Providing engineering technical support and advice to the broader team About you Relevant engineering bachelor's or master's degree.5+ years of relevant experience in the renewable energy and energy storage industry.Exposure to and a broad understanding of various engineering disciplines.An analytic mindset with the ability to identify and summarise complex topics in a structured and concise way.The ability to be client-facing and the capability to communicate complex technical subject matter to non-technical team members and clients.Familiar with the interface between commercial and technical aspects of a project.Comfortable in communicating within a techno-commercial environment
