Spencer Ogden are working together with a leading international company operating in the photovoltaic market. They are providers of high quality PV solutions globally, with a focus on PV development, EPC and O&M activities and Spencer Ogden have been enlisted to assist them in their search for an Engineering manager to be based in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Engineering manager will serve as the team leader of the central engineering team for my client and will manage a team of highly motivated and dedicated specialists in the various fields of PV projects. The successful candidate will be expected to play a strong role in the contribution to the engineering works through the use of their experience and knowhow in the field of EPC activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Daily management of a team of specialists within the Engineering Service Centre team.
*Technical direction and support to construction teams during installation, start up, testing systems, commissioning or performance monitoring.
*Active involvement through the project life cycle related to civil and electrical design
*Coordination with the Procurement manager and Construction manager as well as the after sales service team and regular interaction with the design engineers.
*Ensure a seamless transition from the engineering team to the construction teams on site, working in close cooperation with the groups' construction manager.
*Organise and provide engineering support to the maintenance service team.
*Assess cost reduction in the fields of component selection and design optimisation and ensure

The Engineering Manager will need to be highly analytical and possess strong technical expertise specifically within the PV industry.

Some further requirements are as follows:

*Degree educated within Engineering (ideally a Masters).
*Over 10 years' experience in the PV industry with strong technical background in
*Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural).
*Experience leading a group of Engineers.
*Fluency in English is a must (additional languages considered an advantage).
*Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
