Expansion Planning Manager (Electricity & Water Transmission)
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Fixed term contract for one year

The Expansion Planning Manager is responsible for developing an integrated masterplan to increase the future power and water transmission capacity of Abu Dhabi.
Your key responsibility will be managing the development of the Statement of Future Capacity (SFC) requirements.

This includes:
*Reviewing and incorporating power and water forecasts and future generation/ desalination requirements identified by the Demand Forecasting Department.
*Fulfilling Generation and Desalination Security Standards set by the state regulator.
*Managing the development, presentation and communication of both cost effective and technically appropriate planning scenarios, challenging outputs to ensure accuracy and viability.
*Reviewing the suitability of techno-economic analysis/outputs in coordination with external stakeholders.
*Developing the Statement of Future Capacity evaluation criteria in coordination with the regulator. Drafting solutions (technical and commercial) to model the provision of generation capacity in coordination with the Capacity Procurement Directorate and external stakeholders.

Key areas of accountability will be:
*Commercially and technically viable planning scenarios that accurately capture Abu Dhabi's capacity procurement requirements.
*Timely and accurate completion of Abu Dhabi's integrated Masterplan.
*Robust and accurate Statement of Future Capacity Requirements completed in line with timescales.
*Achievement of Integrated Planning Department KPIs and targets.

Candidates for this position should meet the below criteria:
*Bachelors' Degree in Economics of Engineering.
*10 years' experience in utility capacity planning.
*Previous Middle East experience.
*Salary and benefits are negotiable based on skill set and experience.
