Export Control Compliance Manager


As the Export Control Compliance Manager, you will:

- You will develop and implement Export Control Compliance strategy and program to manage the import and export of company products worldwide.

- You will direct import and export activities to achieve compliance and cost optimization.

- You will collaborate with product development and engineering teams to identify potential reasons for control and support determination and documentation of export jurisdiction and customs classification for all goods, software, and technology.

- You will ensure license and exemption/exception limitations, recordkeeping requirements, proviso, riders, conditions, and time limits are understood and met by all affected and responsible personnel.

- You will be responsible for sanctioned party screening and review of suppliers and customers trade compliance.

- You will monitor and prepare for changes in export control laws against current business outcomes, and coordinate with Legal to manage formality filings, classifications, export licenses and reports.


What will our ideal candidate bring?

- You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field AND 4+ years of export control compliance.

- You possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the ITAR / USML, and EAR / CCL regulations and control lists, as well as non-US export regulations (e.g. UN, Wassenaar, EU, UK, etc.).

- You have subject matter expertise in relevant export classifications and corresponding export controls for products, services, and technology.

- You have experience with export filings, such as licenses (exports, deemed), classification requests (CJs, CCATS), and reporting.

- You can effectively communicate with customs and relevant government agencies globally.

- You are self-motivated; you can communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and process complex technical information to accurately determine export classifications.
