Our client, a leading Renewable Energy Company focussing on emerging countries are looking for an Export Finance Manager to be based in either a country in Sub Saharan Africa. You will have a thorough understanding of local banking and financial regulations and you will support the company to ease the running of the projects through both their financial inception and throughout the project lifecycle.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and list funding mechanisms on behalf of the Company or its customers.
  • Offer attractive financing for international customers, especially for governments and local authorities.
  • Relationship with financial institutions and public entities (banks Public and Private Equities with
  • Corporate Investment, Donors and Multilateral Equities, ECA.)
  • Participate in corporate financial engineering, including projects corporate, be proactive on new types of financing.

As the Export Finance Manager you will look to provide support in the following areas:

  • Payment methods and risks for customers
  • The types of finance available
  • Trade finance (pre and post-export)
  • Credit insurance
  • Foreign exchange risks

 

 

Required skills:

  • Holder of a Masters' degree in Finance, Economics and management or Political science or have experience in Project Financing, the banking environment, with export credit agencies or the financing of international projects
  • Knowledge of corporate law, business law, taxation and finance, project management
  • Very good knowledge of project financing opportunities international organizations and public or private
  • Very good knowledge of Financing: project or structured.
  • Relational aspects essential to carry out the exchanges with the different partners
  • Notions in industrial project management and commercial actions
  • Know how to conduct negotiations on the financial conditions for the Company or on behalf of third parties.
  • Fluency in the local language and English is required.
