Essential Job Functions

  • Perform project scoping, design, management and operational support for midstream gathering and transportation systems including crude oil, natural gas, produced water and fresh water systems
  • Design the technical scope of projects to meet Client requirements while complying with governmental regulations and area / industry standards
  • Develop required AFE's along with the economics and justification
  • Support business development activities
  • Perform hydraulic modeling on existing and proposed pipelines in support of operations, project engineering, and commercial development
  • Plan & execute gas gathering & compression projects
  • Prepare contractor bid packages and work with field construction staff to coordinate and monitor the work through completion
  • Work closely with the field level operations staff
  • Track actual costs and monitor expenditures for all AFE's and Budget
  • Prepare monthly cost forecasts and project status reports
  • Involved in project activities with multiple entities including E&P (Houston and field), Land, Marketing, Legal, and Accounting along with external entities such as contractors, equipment providers, government agencies, regulatory bodies, landowners, and other producers
  • Participate in projects as needed with Company growth
  • Participate in Client Resource Conversion Process (RCP)
  • Travel as required for project engineering & construction oversight

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 3 years of oil & gas field operations experience
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Midstream industry experience regarding design, construction and operation of produced water, crude and gas facilities
  • Working knowledge of pipeline systems and hydraulics
  • Ability to work with internal and external contacts
  • Positive, self-starting attitude
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
  • Oil & gas pipeline operations experience
  • E&P and Midstream experience
  • Gas processing experience
