We need someone with an engineering aptitude who is able to learn quickly and will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. It is likely that this person be:
*Researching and then travelling extensively to potential sites and conducting technical evaluation of their suitability for hydropower.
*Working on design concepts, carrying out site background research and modelling output.
*Providing CAD and other conceptual design proposals and drawings for the engineering and marketing teams.
*Working as part of the permitting and engineering design team (both internally and with external partners) to provide engineering input and support.
*Working as part of the site based hydropower installation teams providing engineering support, troubleshooting and as an NEHC site Representative.
*Carrying out routine maintenance of hydropower machinery, and tracking and optimising uptime.

*Probably degree level qualification in an engineering discipline (eg civil, structural, mechanical)
*At least two years hands on experience with a dynamic company working in an allied business.
*Proven to be able to work on your own, solve problems, and be an active participant in engineering delivery teams.

*Mechanical, civil, structural or electrical engineering
*Hydropower knowledge is useful but not essential
*AutoCAD or similar, and graphical modelling and presentation tools.
*Project Management
*Machinery maintenance and operation

*Ability to be part of a team delivering complex and innovative projects
*Ability to problem solve
*Excellent presentation and writing skills.

*Empathy with logical and technical processes
*Willing and quick learner
*Team player

*Hydropower consultancy, operator or developer
*Engineering consultant or contractor to water related projects.
*Any company designing and operating large industrial machinery.
