My client is looking for a Field Service Engineer who is experienced in DCS Control Systems for their Power division to provide professional after sales support to the existing Customer base for all products but predominantly related to distributed control systems.
Tasks will include first line maintenance, site installation, commissioning, start-up and repair services.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Act as first customer contact during project warranty and after warranty period
* Perform investigation, troubleshooting, resolution and recommendation to issues identified in
customer installation in a range of current active products, maintained products, third party connectivity products, and cyber security products, working independently or under minimum supervision
* Perform services on site, as well as remotely
* Perform scheduled services and on-call services
* Perform services in home country and abroad
* Executes DCS migrations, evergreens, service and other KOB3 projects
* Assists factory acceptance testing and perfroms installation, start up and comissining of the
above range of products
* Conduct training courses for Operation and Maintenance personnel
* Prepares, maintains and updates documentation of performed services, installed base
information, Customer contacts and service planning in business systems
* Identifies and reports Sales opportunities
* Supports Proposals in definition of project scope and cost estimates
* Supports Sales during contract preparation and negotiation
* Perform assigned tasks / duties with balanced risk while strictly observing the company

* Follow and observe all company procedures & training related to the Operation Controls as
listed below, but not limited to: Trade Compliance, Checkpoint, Records Retention, Quality
Management System and Ethics
* Develop Personal and Professional competencies as well as knowledge about Products & Service
* Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* You will ideally hold an HNC/level in an Engineering discipline, such as electronics, computer
science or control engineering
* Experience in repair and servicing of vendor/OEM products is ideal (e.g. Siemens, Emerson, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa)
* Relevant experience as a Service Engineer in a process control/ Power plant environment with
a particular emphasis on installation, commissioning and start-up is preferable.
* An understanding of C&I theory including Control loop configuration and tuning
* Have clear and effective communication skills
* Full driving license

This position is in Leicestershire with install bases in North East, the Midlands and the North West so the ideal candidate would be located in any of these regions and happy to travel to sites both in England and abroad.
