Plans and conducts work requiring judgment regarding the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Successfully completes engineering tasks on engineering projects. Works closely with Team Leaders, Partners, and/or Project Engineer for technical review and guidance.


- Assist in code analyses, required calculations, equipment selection and field survey tasks
- Act as the liason between the client and PIC responsible for meeting the client's project goals and objectives for the overall scope, schedule and budget
- Manage client expectations and project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Work with Special Inspections and Code Consulting group leaders to promote fully integrated fire and life safety solutions in response to client project needs
- Assist in responding to RFP's and proposal writing, responsible for production, productivity, quality client service standards, and overall client satisfaction
- Manage multiple project deadlines with varying priorities
- Ensure technical quality and financial success of projects
- Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractors
- Enhance the firm's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests
- Demonstrate core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm members
- Update job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm's Technical Committee as requested
- Adhere to the firm's QA/QC process
- Perform other duties as assigned


- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited fire protection engineering program
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with a consulting engineering firm
- Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasive and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
- Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Introductory knowledge of BIM/Revit and AutoCAD, and ability to utilize on projects to accomplish work
- Experience with Deltek Vision or Project Resource Management software is preferred
- Ability to meet and exceed client expectations

Required/Desired Credentials:

PE license is required
