Front end Developer

A large and growing multinational communications company are looking for a Front end Developer to join their team in the City of London area.

With over 600 employees, and offices across Europe, the company provides consultancy, architecture, security and cloud services to optimize the information and communications technology (ICT) environments of enterprises.

Position Overview:

This role is working in the rapidly growing systems development group who develop, maintain and improve the quotation tool aspects of the company's operational support systems (OSS) within Europe. The role demands the ability to quickly learn and understand requirements and process. Along with the ability to work in an agile team and implement, test, documentation and support existing and new functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement, optimize and maintain OSS client side code and XHTML. Working with API's and DOM/client side storage and JS libraries. Must work well in a team and be able to understand and pick up new concepts quickly.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

*JS development Commercial web development experience, strong W3C compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.
*Experience in jQuery, Backbone & DOM Proficient building cross-browser compatible sites Expertise in Web page performance optimization Exposure to Agile development
*Experience working with DVCS (Git) Unit Testing and creating testable web sites
*Expertise in 'AJAX' with JSON data structures.

*Perl, Python and SQL
