Position: General Manager
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000
My leading Aviation client is looking for a General Manager to join their site in Hampshire. You will be tasked with managing all day to day operations for the business which includes but is not limited to: safety, profit and loss/ finance, customer relations and general operations.
You will sit above the commercial teams and business managers and will be integral to building relationships with clients. Being actively involved in contract negotiation/ renewal as well as providing a point of contact for advice to both your project teams and company partners.
Responsibilities for the position of General Manager
*Plan and execute business objectives. Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with the company's vision and values.
*Establish and achieve financial budgets and goals for the Company.
*Create annual goals for facility and implement strategies to enhance employee safety and quality, accuracy and efficiency of department work processes.
*Have overall responsibility of Aircraft Management Client relationship
*Assurance of third party relationships, creating a pipeline of new managed aircraft, keeping relationships with industry bodies and other influential stakeholders
*Overall responsibility for cultivation of Aircraft Management Clients within the EU region Responsible for Aircraft management client retention and client acquisition in conjunction with Regional Sales teams
*Conduct regular client meetings
*Drive new management client pipeline assuring the growth of the managed fleet
*Creating excellent relationships with internal clients and suppliers
Person specific requirements for the position of General Manager
*Proven track record of senior management in a similar role in the aviation industry showing ability and performance in a medium to large sized, business aviation organisation.
*Able to form long lasting customer relationships, whilst winning and renewing large service contracts
*Sound knowledge of the aviation industry and its safety and compliance requirements.
*Must have strong business and commercial acumen with a good knowledge of business financials and financial decision making, ideally previous P&L management of a significant budget
*Experience in a senior role within an organisation with international links or an international parent company would be highly desirable
