Sales Manager - Generators

My client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their team they will be responsible for making contact for the sale of generators within the UK and internationally for the company.

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of diesel generators and have an existing client base that they would be approach. The Sales Manager will also make new introductions and manage the relationship on a local level understanding the culture and language of all their clients. They will help to grow the company's market share in the UK and internationally and increase brand awareness in the various markets.

Job role
*Make introductions and find potential orders using local knowledge and existing customer relationships.
*Ensuring contractual terms and conditions, prices, etc. are explained to the customer.
*Arrange meetings with new and existing clients.
*Forecast of short / medium term opportunities
*Ensuring the plant meets the commitments it has made to customers.
*Market Information Assessing new projects, customer developments and strategic direction, size and competitors, normal sales prices

Key Challenges
* A vast knowledge of Diesel Generators from 22kVA up to 3MW.
*Expertise in Caterpillar, FG Wilson and SDMO generator sets.
*Maintaining Local Market & Market Development Knowledge.
*Relationship management - Ensure any customer issues/problems/complaints are resolved with a speedy resolution suitable to the customer relationship.

Skills
*Qualification in Sales & Marketing or Engineering
*5 years in electrical industry
*Good communicator
