POSITION: Geologist

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for providing geological support associated with daily production operations and existing vertical wells, primarily in the Midland Basin.

Essential Functions:
*Provide geological support for the Production Engineering and Exploration groups as requested
*Produce Petra maps for Production and Operations personnel as needed
*Identify opportunities to maximize production
*Evaluate behind pipe potential and prepare perf recommendations
*Work closely with Production Engineers to evaluate marginal wells for workovers and recompletions
*Perform special assignments in addition to day-to-day work activities

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
*Strong technical and software skills including, but not limited to, Petra, TotalRod, Enertia and all Microsoft Office programs
*Excellent organizational, reasoning and communication skills
*Demonstrated competency in geological understanding of the Permian Basin
*Ability to import multiple forms of data into Geology software, develop maps, provide cross sections and structure maps as needed
*Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and individuals at all levels throughout the company

Minimum qualifications:
*BS degree in Geology required
*Two (2) or more years' experience in a similar role required
*Petra experience preferred
*Permian Basin experience preferred
