Team Leader (Geotechnical / Civil)

The Team Leader has a people and operational focus, reporting through to the Group Manager who has overarching management of the Group.

The primary focus of the Team Leader is to ensure the formation, development, leadership and performance of a highly capable resource pool, in a designated field or area of expertise as identified in the group.

The Team Leader will crystalise the team purpose for team members, ensuring capability development and capacity meets the market and client demand, with a focus on delivery effectiveness and resourcing turn-around, guiding the overall performance of the team.

The Team Leader will also provide a focal point for the sales team in the culitivation of client relationhips, opportunity generation and successful sales outcomes.

Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or relevant experience.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

o Technical competence to lead a specific team in a specialised area

o Demonstrated people and communication skills

o Broader leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate high performance, and manage change

o Demonstrated commitment to values-based decision making

o Business acumen and proven track record in successfully delivering services to clients

o Influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to listen, understand, and modify positions to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes

o Demonstrated commitment to facilitate the development of team members including opportunities for continuous improvement.
