The Opportunity
You have the opportunity to join a consultancy based practice in London. This company is a growing business and the recent influx of projects have called for a company expansion. They have firm plans to double their office size by the end of this year and have a huge need for a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to come in and lead the Building Surveying team.
They provide a variety of services across London but also on a national basis. Your experience will need to consist of high quality, varied post qualification experience. As a growing business, you will need to be a passionate individual whose aspiration is to establish themselves and make a significant contribution to the development of the business.

The Responsibilities
As the Head of the Building Surveying department, you will need to have comprehensive knowledge in: -
*Pre-Acquisition Surveys
*Specification Writing
*Party Wall Maters
*Contract Administration
*CDM Co-Ordination
*Project Management
*Maintaining and Building Client Relationships
*Managing a team of Building Surveyors & Graduate Building Surveyors
*Mentoring Graduate through APC pathway

The Key Requirements
As the Head of the Building Surveyor department, you will:
*Have a relevant qualification, e.g. BSc in Building Surveying (or equivalent)
*MRICS qualified (at least 5 years)
*Strong communication skills are essential, along with commercial acumen and strong technical competence
*High attention to detail; Excellent time management skills
*Experience of managing and communicating with clients, as well as introducing new clients to the growing company
*Experience in managing and leading a team of building surveyors (desirable)
*Strong Consultancy based background, indicating commitment and growth
*Experience of Party Walls, Specification Writing & Project Management.
*Have experience of working on a varied amount of sectors (Commercial, Residential etc)
*Have experience managing your own projects or schemes independently

The Money
As the successful Head of the Building Surveying department, you will receive:
Between £45,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience, plus;
*Private Healthcare
*Company Car/Car Allowance
*25 days holidays, plus extra 4-8 days
