The Role and Responsibilities

With a broad range of CSR/ESG/Impact initiative spanning 1m sq ft of commercial real estate assets, We are seeking someone dedicated to pulling together its efforts in this area. While "responsible investing" is at the core of our business strategy, each member of the team plays an important role in sourcing and implementing ideas; however, in order to continue to drive our leadership in this area, we are looking to dedicate a resource. This individual will:

- Take ownership of existing sustainability and impact activities across company properties, building on the systems-based approach to driving social and environmental outcomes and driving change in the urban system in which our buildings sit

- Identify and liaise with local social enterprises across various geographic markets, and put in place programs where we can help further their purpose

- Identify creative ways to use our buildings to help address entrenched, endemic issues in the local communities in which we invest (homelessness, education, hunger, wealth disparity, food/wellness being areas where we are currently focussed), using the SDGs as a guide

- Develop relationships with stakeholders (social enterprise, government, community) - On the environmental side, depending on the individual's technical aptitude and together with outside consultants, participate in initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of our properties

- Managing external certifications of buildings under WELL, BREEAM, WiredScore, EPC, other standards

- Drive the firm's certifications and annual audits (ISO 14001 with UN PRI, B-Corp, Net Zero Carbon)

- Be a thought leader amongst the team and drive each of us to higher achievements in this critical area

- Interact with external parties: consultants, investors, property managers, community stakeholders

- Prepare PowerPoint presentations, particularly investor facing

- Assist with quarterly reporting and writing the annual sustainability report

Skills and Experience The successful candidate will possess:

- Relevant experience in the sustainability / impact space

- Not essential for direct exposure to UK or European commercial real estate, but a plus - A deep passion for community, sustainability, and the built environment

- A willingness to work in a self-directed way at times, but at equally able to excel collaboratively

- Excellent English language skills (with other European languages as an advantage)

- Good technical and presentation skills across Powerpoint and Word - Persistence, persuasiveness, presence

- Four to eight years' relevant experience
