One of the UK's leading Food Manufacturers are recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager. The company produces chilled and frozen products (amongst others) and their customers are some the UK's largest retailers.

The successful Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager will be experts in their field and have a demonstrable track record of achievement in similar roles.


Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager responsibilities:

* HSE strategies and policies
* Safe operational procedures
* Site inspections
* Promote HSE practices
* Eliminate conflict between Production and Safety
* Management reporting
* Ensure all relevant legislation is complied with & keep up with all new legislation
* Lead in-house HSE training
* Attend IOSH seminars
* Liaise with regulatory bodies
* Fire safety
* Management of hazardous waste disposal


Skills, experience and attributes for the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager:

* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
* Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
* 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally food manufacturing)
* Full UK driving license
* Skillful negotiation and communication
* Change management expertise and commercial awareness
