HSE Manager

Location: London
Pay Rate: £350-£500 per day (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
Contract Length: Project to run until August 2018

Creating, enacting, and updating job safety programmes for employees and sub contract staff that encompass government health and safety regulations, Rail standards as well as company standards for HSE in the workplace. Training employees and sub contract staff on the importance of health and safety on the job.

HSE Duties:

* Auditing production, keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behavior or breaks in regulations
* Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations
* Working closely with our clients on Crossrail portfolio programme for alignment of HSE and the requirements.
* Management of risk assessments and method statements for the projects needs
* Overseeing the delivery of T.B.T and DAB's to assess the quality of delivery and amend were necessary to maintain a high standard of delivery from the site(s) supervisors
* Maintaining and keeping accurate training records of all project staff and sub contract staff
* Creating analytical reports of safety data
* Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe
* Ordering repairs for unsafe and/or damaged equipment were required
* Focusing on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and employee training
* Presenting safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions
* Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques
* Determining whether the finished product is safe for customers under CDM regulations
* Creating safety plans that include suggested improvements including environmental plans were required
* Meeting company health and safety goals
* Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site
* Liaising with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident
* Finding the best way to prevent future incidents and accidents

Essential Qualifications

- CDM 2015
- First Aid
- Experience in rail sector
