My London based client are looking for an Innovation Programme Manager to join their team.

The purpose of the Innovation Programme Manager in the Innovation team is to work with UK Electricity Networks to set up, develop, manage and monitor a wide range of innovation initiatives and projects. These include: Innovation Strategies, Reporting Mechanisms and EU compliant procurement framework for innovation and business as usual project portfolio. A key part of the role is to manage and support a number of 'future focused' national working groups and assist in the delivery of actions and projects emerging from these groups.


Key roles and responsibilities will include:

- Ensure projects are managed and delivered successfully, including
procurement and contract management of service providers.

- Organisation and secretariat of innovation working group meetings including taking
minutes and delivering on actions

- Control of project costs and production of quotes for member companies

- Work with members to deliver the outputs specified on time and to budget. This will
include procuring and managing a range of deliver partners

- Combining views of various member groups to ensure consistent industry
viewpoints are conveyed

- Successfully communicating the benefits of Innovation to Ofgem, BEIS and the wider
industry

Requirements:

- Experience of working in, or with, the electricity industry or energy sector in an engineering,
innovation or project management role would be advantageous.

- A sound working knowledgeof programme management, procurement processes, legal agreements and experience of contract management of third party suppliers through service implementation and operation is desirable.

- Candidates must have good communication skills, initiative and self motivation along with proven skills and demonstrable experience in building positive and productive relationships with colleagues, customers, commercial partners and stakeholders.

- It is very important that candidates are able to successfully work in a team environment, are able to easily adapt to fast-paced and changing scenarios, and work with a very wide range of different stakeholders.
