Instrumentation specialist. We are looking for possible candidates within the Antwerp Platform who can and want this function to be carried out.

You end up in the Instrumentation department (+/- 70 colleagues) who is responsible for the
reliability of all instrumentation on TRA (TOTAL Refinery Antwerp). (more than
100000 instrumentation loops, more than 7000 control valves, PLCs, ESD and other SIS
systems). In consultation with the customer you are jointly responsible for it
maintenance. You report to one of the supervisors together with other colleagues.

  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are controlled in a controlled manner

carried out according to the procedures and instructions that are in line with the refinery.

  • Analyzing missed opportunities with regard to instrumentation maintenance and

reliability items to recommend solutions and investments.
  • Coaching your team by creating a positive and open working environment. Stimulate it

  • Ensure the daily activities within the department:

o Support and follow up work orders. Work to inspect and
make adjustments where necessary. Provide technical support.
o Proactively offer help to tackle interdepartmental problems.
o Ensure the quality of the maintenance activities and improvement projects.
o Give good communication and FB to the team members, the customers (Production) and
other departments.
o Follow-up of corrective actions in the context of audits and legal
regulation. (ISO, AREI, ATEX, etc.)
  • If necessary, take the lead during SD and TA for the execution of the instrumentation

maintenance work.
  • Other activities:

o Advisory role with TA, engineering, IND (global technology department) with respect to
scope, project, specs, resources, ...
o Spinning in the waiting rotation system within instrumentation
o Creation / maintenance of contacts with regard to the exchange of technology

o Lead Loss Control meetings, ensure safe and environmentally-aware working.

You hold an engineering degree or a Bachelor's degree in Measurement and Control Engineering / Electronics with equivalent experience
