Intermediate electrical design engineer - Building services

This is a chance for you to join one of the UK's leading Building Services Consultancies who pride themselves on providing sustainable multi-disciplined design services. They provide sustainable engineering solutions to a very high standard which has helped the consultancy grow. This can be seen by the company having a consistently high workload mainly through repeat business and client recommendations.

The role will involve you working closely with your Group Leader where you will assist with the design and supervision of projects. Moreover, you will be carrying out calculations and detailed design in line with industry guides. Other responsibilities include overseeing project site works snagging and testing and assisting in the preparation off specifications, reports and drawings to the design programme.

Main responsibilities

*Liaise with the design team to agree manufacturers and samples and to coordinate detailed designs
*Assist with the supervision and design of projects, review technical requirements and scope of works
*Implement and manage QA procedures and systems on all projects
*Ensure all designs respond to the CDM regulations
*Maintain good design team and client relationships to achieve repeat business and high levels of satisfaction
*Carry out site snagging, witness testing, detailed design and the production of tender documents
*Agree deliverables with your group leader - specification types and number of drawings

Role requirements

*Minimum of 3 years' experience
*Learning of statutory legislation and standards
*Learning communication/ presentation skills
*Membership of a professional engineering body
