Intermediate - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer- London

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join one of the largest privately owned consultancies in the UK who have offices from offices in Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds and London. You will be joining a team with a wealth of experience who help make a different and dynamic approach to work. Their consultancy services include energy, environmental, mechanical and electrical services to lots of sectors across the built environment.

The successful engineer will be joining the London office as an Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Role responsibilities-

*Undertake feasibility studies/ prepare associated reports and undertake building dilapidation surveys
*Preparing load calculations and prepare / reviewing infrastructure designs and applying initial utility services applications.
*Preparation of detailed budget costs and defined estimates if required.
*Prepare concept deign information from RIBA stage 2 and 3 supporting project concept design development.
*Have proven experience of delivering regulatory obligations in relation to Building Regulations Part L and BREEAM.
*Supervising commissioning of mechanical services and working with the Part L/ energy and mechanical engineers to derive low energy design solutions.
*Represent the company by attending design team and project meetings.
*Prepare specifications/equipment schedules/drawing and information to installation and fully coordinated standards (RIBA Stage 5).
*Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports.
*Undertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviews.

Role requirements-

*Degree or HNC in relevant subject and being chartered is desirable.
*Detailed knowledge, understanding and usage of industry standard Building Services design packages.
*Be a team player whilst able to operate on your own
*Ability to articulate and able to communicate at all levels
*Have a UK full driving licence
