Our client is a leading investment and asset manager in the solar sector who play an active role in the lifecycle of solar assets from development to ownership. They currently have over US$1.3bn AUM across multiple investment vehicles, including two private equity funds. They are seeking an Investment Analyst to support both origination and execution of new and existing transactions. This role offers the opportunity to experience many facets of an extremely successful business with a rapidly growing portfolio, which is at the forefront of renewable investment.

The main responsibilities are as follows (but are not limited to):

  • Assist transaction processes and liaise with external stakeholders;
  • Build, review and interpret complex financial models;
  • "Own" the acquisition model, adapt and expand it as necessary;
  • Analyse investment opportunities and carry out valuations (mainly DCF);
  • Prepare summaries and investment proposals for the investment committee.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in an infrastructure or energy finance role within an investment bank, corporate, advisory or investment fund;
  • A degree in finance/economics - in addition, a background in engineering would be a plus;
  • Previous demonstrable financial modelling and valuation skills;
  • Excellent corporate finance and accounting knowledge - CFA is desirable;
  • Fluency in English - a second language would be an advantage;
