Spencer Ogden is currently seeking a Lead EC&I Engineer for one of our clients based in Brisbane, an engineering consultancy with an international footprint.

The ideal candidate will supervise a team of engineers in the execution of project delivery, which includes design, implementation, testing and customer-site commissioning. You will develop and drive strategic initiatives for the projects team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver and execute large scale projects in controls and automation. Utilising your technical and commercial knowledge, you will be a key representative and contact for client liaison, key account management and project development.

Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to various control system platforms - Schneider, GE, Allen Bradley, Siemens etc.

  • Experience preparing functional specification documentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able and willing to travel to international site-based locations as required.

  • Contributes to technical guidance on project related matters

  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major stakeholders.

  • Required to lead a number of teams comprising of engineering staff of various levels of experience

  • Develops and leads team in strategic direction as identified together with senior management

  • Project delivery and execution

  • Provide or make training accessible to employees

  • Meeting client scopes schedule, quality, safety standards and within budget

  • Control system scoping and design

  • Analyse data and present reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant Degree in Engineering

  • Experience working with various Control Systems

  • Experience with associated equipment and instrumentation

  • Experience with operations and maintenance

  • Must have excellent conflict resolution skills

  • Proven ability to add value for customers & partners

  • Drives productivity and continuous improvement; thinks and acts strategically
