Our award winning Learning and Development programmes are at the heart of Spencer Ogden’s people strategy.  There is a huge appetite for learning at Spencer Ogden and therefore the L&D Consultant role is pivotal to the future success of the business in the Americas.  The L&D Consultant holds responsibility for the training, developing and coaching entry level hires.

The role is responsible for the entire learning cycle of our recruitment consultants, the L&D Consultant will be responsible for delivering our modular based Sales Induction programme, whilst ensuring that Consultants learning outcomes and potential in the business is maximised. This individual will also be expected to build strong relationships within the business across all locations to ensure that full service and support is offered to associated Team Leaders and Management involved in the on-boarding of the new hires.

The role has a clear development plan in place for the new L&D Consultant to increase facilitation competence as well as design capability.  With a clearly defined career path within the function, supported with a competency framework.  Cross region L&D projects are common place, as is sharing best practice and new innovative ideas to drive development across our global locations.

Skills & Qualifications required

  • Proven experience in delivering either Recruitment Sales or high quality Sales Development Programmes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation techniques with a clear passion for training and developing people
  • Flexibility to travel to all SO US locations
  • L&D or Coaching qualifications desirable
