Job Title: Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) / System & Instrumentation (S&I) Engineer - Japan

My client is looking out for a Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) / System & Instrumentation (S&I) Engineer, who will be based in Japan for a 2-years contract duration.

Location: Japan

Contract Duration: 2 years

Responsibilities include:

  • Enhance & train Channel Partners Service in S&I / MDS capability for certification process
  • Provide and advise technical support
  • Perform Vibration analysis of plant machinery by acquiring vibration data
  • Evaluate and convey machinery condition of rotating and reciprocating machinery at plants
  • Understanding vibration & machine performance, O&M data and customer communications
  • Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Hardware & Software Products/Solutions
  • Perform balancing for rotating machines
  • Install and optimize asset condition monitoring and optimization software
  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports to professional standards for customer action
  • Maintain records for future reference
  • Liaise effectively with Team Leader for meeting service team's metrics
  • Implement & adhere to EHS at all work sites
  • Conduct fieldwork in compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations
  • Support sales/service team in service scope and technical communications with customers
  • Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality

Requirements include:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Operation & Maintenance of rotary equipment
  • Skilled in interpreting and understanding machinery drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Japanese is an added advantage, to convey technical concepts effectively
