An opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Engineer to join my well known client based in Glasgow reporting to the Engineering Team Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of maintenance and specialist engineering support to the production and process site functions.
The role involves safely carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the factory in order to minimise down time within the business. You will also carry out fault finding and repairs as required, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant standards.
You should demonstrate a "can do attitude" and ability to work well as part of a team, supporting and assisting other departments where necessary. You will be a self-starter, who can effectively communicate at all levels and who is flexible and dependable in your approach to work.
Key attributes for the role:
*Third level / technical qualification in relevant discipline
*To have undergone appropriate multi-skilled training in either mechanical or electrical work via recognised training courses and / or equivalent practical experience
*Experience of using trending, root cause analysis and problem-solving tools to continuously-improve performance. Excellent working knowledge of engineering processes and "best practice"
*Ability to comply with statutory requirements in relation to Health & Safety, COSHH, BS5750, IEE Wiring and Electricity and Work Regulations
*Ability to deliver accurate management information to support the decision making process
*Proactive approach to business improvement and cost reduction
*Required to work shifts (early/back/night) and flexible hours to accommodate business requirements
