Steam Operations is seeking a Maintenance Manager for Steam Plant to join its leadership team. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical/science field is required. Minimum of 8 years' working experience is required with 5 of those years in technical/maintenance such as plant equipment maintenance, boiler repair, rotating equipment maintenance or construction. Must have 3 to 5 years supervisory experience. Must have a general knowledge of steam plant equipment including boilers, steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, auxiliaries, and fuel handling apparatus. Must have general knowledge of the administrative processes pertaining to power plants. Strong communication and leadership skills required. Knowledge of material procurement, outage preparation and coordination, equipment quality assurance, boilers, steam engineering/maintenance, engineering evaluation, map and blueprint interpretation, computer mainframe applications and technical report writing is required. Knowledge of Oracle (Project One and associated) Business Intelligence Applications, Cost management (budget development/planning), DCS control systems, emergency response, Maximo work management, effective planning elements and predictive maintenance implementation, contract management, managing and implementing large projects, work management, outage coordination and implementation of human performance tools is preferred. Advanced degree or Master degree with 6 years' working experience is preferred.


Will provide safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, efficient, and economical repair of equipment and periodic maintenance program through proper planning and utilization of all available resources for the generation of electricity and/or steam. Oversee the planned mechanical and electrical maintenance function of all equipment including boilers, steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, auxiliaries, and fuel handling apparatus. Ensure that work permits are obtained and make sure that work is performed safely and within procedural compliance. Ensure that the procurement of materials for routine maintenance and planned overhauls is on hand. Oversee the coordination of maintenance activities between the location and other departments and/or contractors. Review routine maintenance requirements to determine what improvement measures are needed for effective and reliable operations. Develop personnel to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity by instructing, motivating, counseling, and utilizing appropriate training. Direct the development of the O&M (operations and maintenance) annual budget and tracking monthly.

Position requires extensive walking and climbing within a generation station environment (heat, noise, and confined spaces). Must be physically able to wear a respirator. The position requires working nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
