Overall responsibility for designing and implementing the regional learning strategy and supporting programmes.  Leading the regional delivery team, with clearly defined objectives and demonstration of ROI.  Responsible for budget and relationships with vendors and external consultants.  Working in partnership with regional stakeholders, collaborating on regional development programmes, gaining programme sponsorships and ensuring alignment of programmes to company strategy and regional plans.

People Management

  • Overall responsibility for the regional L&D team, managing performance of delivery team and any relevant operational support
  • Ensuring execution of regional L&D strategy and deliverables
  • Engaged with regional L&D network and ready to hire new talent when necessary
  • Manage performance using appropriate SO tools, personal development plans, quarterly objective planning and appraisals
  • Conduct regular facilitation assessment and sign off for existing and new L&D products
  • Ensure L&D team build strong working relationships with regional stakeholders and wider L&D team
  • Work closely with the L&D Director and global delivery team, sharing knowledge and best practise across the regions

    Stakeholder Management

    • Work in conjunction with the Senior regional leaders to formulate local L&D strategies

    • Use coaching capability to support Senior regional leaders with their own personal development

    • Build relationships with relevant local providers and consultancies to support external development initiatives

    • Understand the roles and expectations of the Regional Sales Leaders, their deliverables in line with the Spencer Ogden strategy and 3 year plan

    • Maintain routine communications with regional senior management concerning all aspects deliverables and establish a trusted partner relationship

    • Encourage Leaders across the business to take ownership of developing their people and sponsorship of programmes

    • Overall responsibility for reporting to region on team performance, added value and ROI

    • Work in collaboration with other regional Operational stakeholders

    Training & Needs Analysis

  • Thorough understanding of the regional strategy and alignment of all training solutions to this
  • Ensure effective TNA is collated by the team to align appropriate training solutions
  • Ensure usage of appropriate scoping tools to establish learning objectives, participant profile and attendance criteria
  • Evaluate individual and organisational development needs
  • Aware of current L&D tools and technology in the market to ensure creative and innovative ways adopted to establish gaps in capability across the region
  • Recommend learning solutions based on a blend of learning techniques, L&D delivered, Director/Manager/mentor delivered, video content, workshops, webinars and self-learning
  • Ensure all projects have effective measuring tools and evaluation methods

    Program Design and Delivery

  • Responsible for facilitation of Leadership development products and executive coaching
  • Ability to regionally deliver all other global products within the curriculum
  • Create and manage project groups where necessary to design and deliver new regional products, including assigning SMEs from the business
  • Take ownership of all aspects of the design, delivery and assessment of newly created regional development programmes and initiatives
  • Use a range of creative and innovative ideas to ensure programmes are designed and facilitated to be engaging and measured for success
  • Drive initiatives across the region to support the development of a coaching culture
  • Ensure products and projects meet customer expectations and the budgeted financial objectives tied to projects
  • Responsible for effective reporting on deliverables and delegate feedback
  • Schedule and host the update communications with the business when launching new and updated programmes
  • Work in collaboration with global L&D Director to ensure consistent delivery of programmes in line with global remit

    Strategy

  • Overall responsibility for the design and execution of the regional learning strategy and supporting programmes
  • Work with business leaders and managers to identify training needs and trends within the business
  • Act as a thought leader within the region and wider L&D team to share ideas on innovation and product design
  • Responsible for tracking L&D budget and negotiating contracts with vendors
  • Effective project management to deliver on time and in budget
  • Interface as appropriate with Subject Matter Experts, to ensure adequate resource is available to meet customer needs
  • Make process improvement recommendations to senior management as required
