Job Title: Manager, Occupational Safety
We are currently seeking an Occupational Safety Manager. The primary responsibility of the Occupational Safety Manager is to assist in the development and implementation of programs and procedures to reduce the occurrence of crew and guest accidents and the impact of these events on crew well-being and business practices. Promoting safety awareness to crew and guests. The Occupational Safety Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to Occupational Safety included in the Company Management Systems including essential functions.
*Assisting the ships in the competition of safety related record keeping.
*Reviewing ship Safety Committee Meeting minutes and assisting the vessels in any corrective actions or procedure improvements noted in the meetings.
*Assisting the ships with implementation of any identified safety initiative.
*Developing and conducting a manager training for officers and crew of safety related programs and procedures.
*Serve as a technical liaison between the fleet and shoreside management concerning occupational safety.
*Providing technical assistance to Safety Group during accident investigations.
*Assist Compliance Group with audits or assisting the fleet with the implementation of audit corrective actions concerning occupational safety.
*Managing the activities of selected safety Process Improvement Teams. As per Safety Initiative.
*Bachelor's Degree. Technical Degree in Safety or Marine Safety or other technical area
*Experience in developing and running marine or industrial safety programs
*Project management experience
*Experience in conducting Environmental, Safety, or Marine audits
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
*The ability to speak/read and write properly in English is required and Italian is beneficial
*Ability to work across department boundaries is required
