Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + benefits
Location: Hertfordshire

Summary

My client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who can develop and implement new processes for extremely complex composite components and assemblies. Your core focus will be to support the production of my client's current product portfolio as well as integrating new products in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

*Provide significant expertise in developing a range of engineering solutions to improve the manufacture of new and existing composite products.
*Participate in developing and maintaining documentation for manufacturing processes and designs.
*Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and lay out.
*Transfer new products into production and leads First Article Inspection (FAI) process.
*Liaise with customers and suppliers in order to evaluate requirements and implement robust engineering solutions.
*Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyses possible solutions using technical experience, judgement and data.

Requirements

*Degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent industry experience
*Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
*Excellent knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes including but not limited to pre-preg, sandwich constructions, autoclave cure, adhesive bonding and NDT techniques.
*Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
*Experience in completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) (AS9102 FAIR experience preferable).
